Strength and vibration test room
 
    Test research of vibration, damp and water erosion of long blades of steam turbines, and deflection test research of diaphragm of steam turbines. The strength and vibration test room consists of the following test stands:
1. Blade Dynamic frequency test rig
    ☆ Functions and support areas: It can perform the measurement and test research of dynamic frequency characteristics of medium- and low-height actual blades (The height of blades is within 500mm.) and model blades. It can provide basic data for the design and improvement design of steam turbine blades and it can provide dynamic frequency test data of blades.
    ☆ Instruments and equipment: Testing equipment including lubricating oil station, vacuum pump, radio telemetering device, vibration exciter, concentrator , etc. as well as supporting data acquisition and display analysis equipment; thermal measurement devices for pressure, temperature , etc. as well as automatic control system.
    ☆ Parameters and technical level: Rigid rotor of single-stage blade; shrunk-on impeller structure; sliding bearing supports are adopted; the span length of bearings is 1120mm. The center elevation of rotor is 1300mm; the maximum rotational speed is 3600rpm; the power of DC drive motor is 360KW; the outer diameter of cylinder is 2500mm and its width is 800mm.
    ☆ Allowable research work: Measurement and research of dynamic frequency characteristics of medium- and low-height actual blades (The height of blades is within 500mm.) of full-speed steam turbines; measurement and research of dynamic frequency characteristics of medium- and low-height actual blades and model blades (The modeling ratio is 0.3 - 0.5.) of half-speed steam turbines; development, research and exploratory test of dynamic blade frequency measurement technology and vibration excitation technology under dynamic conditions. This test stand is rapidly started up and shut down. Its rotational speed control operation is easy. The multiple schemes and multiple times of test research can be performed on test objects at the test stand.

2. Blade structure dampingtest rig(under construction)
    The structural dampingtest rig of steam turbine blades is built tostudy the effect of structure damping on turbine blades, andprovide technical bases for blade damping structure design and improve the vibration behavior of turbine blades.
    ☆ Functions and support areas: Fossil power and nuclear power steam turbines and the research of structural damping characteristics of bladesin service.
    ☆ Instruments and equipment: LMS vibration measurement and analysis equipment, and structural damp test rig of blades.
    ☆ Parameters and technical level: Length of tested blades: 500-2100mm; axial width: 150-700mm. At present, it is the largest structural damp test rig in China.
    ☆ Allowable research : new structure damping blade research and design, test of structure damping blades in service
3. Water erosion prevention test stand of blades (under construction)
    ☆ Functions and support areas: Verification test of water erosion resistance and water erosion resistance technology of steam turbine blade materials; supporting the development of water erosion resistance materials and technologies for blades of thermal power and nuclear power steam turbines.
    ☆ Instruments and equipment: Accelerated water erosion test rig
    ☆ Parameters and technical level: Diameter of disc: 700mm; designed rotational speed: 5000rpm; input power: 150kW; power supply requirement: 440V DC. It is the largest water erosion test stand in China. It is the only water erosion test stand of steam turbine blades built in accordance with USA ASTM standards in China.
    ☆ Allowable research: Accelerated water erosion test technology research, research of water erosion resistance technology for materials orsurface treatment of steam turbine blades, water erosion damage mechanism research, water erosion resistance technology verification

4. Turbine diaphragm deflection test rig (under construction)
    ☆ Functions and support areas: Deflection test of large-size diaphragm of nuclear power steam turbines, and structural rigidity safety verification test of in-service diaphragm.
    ☆ Instruments and equipment: Test stand body system, extra-high pressure oil circuit loading system, measurement system for deflection, stress , etc., and matched accessories.
    ☆ Parameters and technical level: The maximum outer diameter oftest diaphragmis 7000mm. The maximum allowable load is 360t. It is the largest diaphragm deflection test rig of steam turbines in China.
    ☆ Allowable research work: Deflection test of diaphragm of newly-produced nuclear power steam turbines and diaphragm of in-service nuclear or fossil power steam turbines; steam turbinesdiaphragm verification, the maximum diaphragm diameter can be up to7m.
